Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Lowcountry Vitality (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit lowcountryvitality.com (the “Site”) or request our mobile IV and wellness services in the greater Charleston, South Carolina area. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Booking requests: your name, mobile number, location, number of guests, drip preference, and requested timing.
- Weight-management waitlist: your email address.
- Direct contact: any information you include when you email, call, or text us.
Our website forms are intended to collect contact and scheduling information only. Please do not submit medical or health details through the Site’s contact or waitlist forms. Clinical intake happens separately in a secure, HIPAA-compliant system (see Section 6).
Information collected automatically
- Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, and referring page.
- Cookies and similar technologies used for site analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement (see Section 4).
2. How we use your information
- Respond to your booking request and schedule and deliver services.
- Contact you by text, phone, or email about your request, appointment, or the waitlist.
- Send marketing or promotional messages where you have consented (you can opt out at any time).
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our services.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, customers, and staff.
3. Text messaging (SMS)
When you submit a booking request or otherwise provide your mobile number, you consent to receive text messages from us related to your request and appointments, and—if you opt in—occasional promotional messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Opting out of texts will not affect your ability to receive care, but may slow scheduling. We do not sell or share mobile information with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Cookies, analytics & advertising
We use privacy-conscious website analytics to understand how the Site is used. If we run advertising on Google or Meta, those platforms may set cookies or use pixels to measure ad performance. We do not send health information to any advertising platform. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance and your device/ad-platform settings.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate, such as our form provider (Formspree), scheduling/EHR provider (Vagaro), secure messaging/telehealth provider (Spruce Health), website host, analytics provider, and payment processor. These providers are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our patients, staff, or the public.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. Health information & HIPAA
Protected health information (PHI) collected during clinical care—such as your medical intake, good-faith examination, and treatment records—is handled under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, and is stored in HIPAA-compliant systems under signed business associate agreements. The Site’s general contact and waitlist forms are not a HIPAA-secure channel and should not be used to transmit health information.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide services, comply with our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations (including medical-record retention requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Clinical records are retained for the period required by South Carolina law.
8. Your choices and rights
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link, or texts by replying STOP.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal limits (for example, required medical-record retention).
- Ask questions about this Policy or our data practices using the contact details below.
9. Children’s privacy
Our Site and services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through the Site.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites or services (such as our booking provider). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
